It was interesting to view the video and read the articles/blogs on L2. I was just at a meeting last week and web 2.0 was mentioned and I was excited that I understood what that meant (sort of). This comes at a time where, once again, I am questioning my role, my purpose, my goals and my future. Being an elementary media specialist, who teaches prep time classes, I am continually questioning what I should teach. Should I immerse kids in great books, should I take on the technology outcomes, should I work on community public relations. Through all of this I have to always ask myself, what will keep my job.
One frustration I have is that, as the media specialist, it is assumed that I will be a leader with technology, but all training is on my own.
I agree that our libraries are changing and need to change and technology certainly needs to be a part of that change, I just don't know where I fit in.

I feel for you! The media specialists I come in contact with always seem to be frustrated that so much is expected of them with little or no support. Hang in there!
